Sounds Heal Podcast Presented by Natalie Brown with Annie Ridgway

Featured Podcast: A Deep Conversation on Sound, Voice & Healing with Annie Ridgway

It was a true pleasure to recently sit down for this podcast conversation and share my journey with sound healing, voice, and embodied awareness. These kinds of conversations are always deeply meaningful to me, they create space to reflect, to listen, and to explore the subtle
yet powerful ways sound supports balance, wellbeing, and transformation.

In this episode, I speak about my path as a sound healing practitioner, musician, and singer-songwriter, and how sound has been a guiding force in my life and work for more than two decades. We explore how sound and voice can be used as tools for regulation, self-connection, and inner harmony,
both in personal practice and within group healing spaces.

I also share insights from my years working internationally, including my time as a Sound Healing Visiting Practitioner at the world-renowned Kamalaya Wellness Sanctuary in Koh Samui, Thailand. From 2012 to 2016, I had the honour of supporting guests from around the world through sound-based sessions designed for rest, renewal, and deep nervous system reset, experiences that continue to inform and enrich my work today.

As the founder of Lakshmi Sound Sanctuary, based in the Tweed and Byron Shire regions of NSW, my work is grounded in offering sound as a pathway back to balance. Through sound baths, immersive Sound Harmonic Spa journeys, workshops, and trainings, I guide individuals and groups
into deeper states of listening, presence, and embodied awareness.

In the podcast, I also speak about my role as the Australasian Region Lead Teacher in Education Training for the International Sound Healing Academy, where I facilitate Level 1 Foundation Certificate courses and Level 2 Diploma trainings for both one-to-one practitioners and group facilitators. Education and mentorship are a vital part of my work, supporting others to confidently and ethically bring sound healing into their own practices.

We also touch on the Alchemy of Sound Retreats, which I co-facilitate alongside Anita Cassidy Bowman. These retreats are a rich, sensory exploration of sound through the five elements, Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether, inviting participants into a space of reflection, creative renewal, and deep integration.

I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to share this conversation and to contribute to the wider dialogue around sound healing, voice, and conscious listening. I hope this episode offers inspiration, insight, and a gentle reminder of the restorative power of sound.
